About Amanda
Stories have always been more than just entertainment or a way to pass the time for me. They are how we understand ourselves and each other at the deepest levels. With The Storytellers Council, I’m not just collecting and sharing narratives; I’m building bridges between diverse experiences and perspectives. This project is about acknowledging that every story adds a unique thread to the fabric of our shared humanity.
When I first envisioned The Storytellers Council, it was out of a recognition that while everyone has a story, not everyone feels they have the right or the opportunity to tell it. I started this initiative because I wanted to change that—to create a space where every voice can find an ear, and every narrative can be seen as part of the larger human story.
Starting this journey has been both a process of learning and unlearning. It's about more than just talking; it's about listening—really listening—to what people have to say.
We're here to celebrate the stories that make us laugh, the ones that make us cry, and even the ones that make us uncomfortable. Because that's where the growth happens. That’s where we begin to see beyond our own experiences and understand the true breadth of what it means to be human.
What we do

- Community Engagement: We are building a community of storytellers and story-lovers. We want to grow a community of storytellers to foster skills and encourage ethical storytelling practices.
- Educational Outreach: We advocate for literacy and fight against the banning of books, ensuring that the next generation has access to the rich tapestry of human experience captured in stories.
- Story Collection: Share your story with us! We collect narratives that span all aspects of human life to preserve and celebrate the diversity of human experience.
- Podcast Series: Dive into "The Storytellers' Echo," where we explore the deep impact of storytelling on personal, cultural, and societal levels. Each episode is crafted to enlighten, inspire, and provoke thought, featuring voices from around the globe.
